Week 13

April 26, 2008

I feel like I am back on track:

5 trades, 3 winners. In total I lost 71 pips, making the pipage to a total of 32 pips. My dollar value for the week was $ -9.88 (-0.18%). For the whole period, I am up 2.61%.

I still am patient and waiting for the better days.

Week 12

April 26, 2008

I was busy last week and forgot to post the results:

4 trades, 3 losers! In total I lost 67 pips, making the pipage to a total of 104 pips. My dollar value for the week was $ -126.71 (-2.38%). For the whole period, I am up 2.77%.

BTD: $ 5138.48.

These days there are tough trading days. I am sure better days are coming. I only have to survive these days to see the bright future.

Week 11

April 12, 2008

5 trades, only 1 winner. In total I lost 89 pips, making the pipage to a total of 170 pips. My dollar value for the week was $ -92.45 (-2.88%). For the whole period, I am up 5.25%.

BTD: $ 5263.64

What I did wrong: I consider the loses normal losers. No rules were bent, not emotions were the cause of position taking.

What Should I do for next week:

1- Continue to concentrate on the chosen pairs.

2- Risk no more than 1% per trade.

3- As always said: good results come from good trades. Stick to good trades and good results will follow…

4- Try to finish April positive. My goal is not to have 2 back to back losing months.

Cut the losers short?

April 7, 2008

Last night, I have a long position on AUD/USD with a 30 pip stop. When the trade went against me, I covered my loser fast and was happy to have 23 pips of loss rather than 30 pips. The price moved right after my manual stop and hit both targets.

Moral of the story: cut the losers short, but not too short!

Here is the chart:

Week 10

April 4, 2008

12 trades were triggered this week, 9 winners. In total I banked 216 pips, making the pipage to a total of 419. I earned $ 168.54 for the week (3.21%). For the whole period, I am up 8.37%.

BTD: $ 5418.49

What I did wrong: I was pretty obeying the rules. The only trade which was wrong according to the rules was the kiwi trade and the result was -74 pips (no wonder!).

What Should I do for next week:

1- Continue to concentrate on 5 pairs.

2- Risk no more than 1% per trade.

3- As always said: good results come from good trades. Stick to good trades and good results will follow…
